Having a watch repaired is like ordering soup from the "soup nazi" on Seinfeld. I brought a watch to their Covington location for re-repair after their first repair failed. After 6 weeks I received a call from their bookkeeper in Metairie saying that I would have to mail a check to the Metairie store before I could pick up the repaired watch in Covington. I told them that I brought the watch to Covington and I expected to pay in Covington when I picked up the watch. I was told this was not possible. I told them to keep the watch in Metairie. I would pick it up there. When I got to Metairie I gave the counter a person a credit card and was informed that although they accept credit cards for all other types of purchases, repairs had to be cash or debit card. I paid in cash and left the receipt on the counter. I would never come back even if the watch breaks under warranty. Upon close inspection of the watch, the crystal that was replaced was the wrong size and will have to be repaired...by Aucoin Hart...never again at Alpine.
